- Sunday evening, November 30th, the Death Angel visited our home and took from us our aged grandmother, Mary V. McGregor, the wife of H. P. McGregor, who preceded her in death 13 years ago.
Grandmother was getting old, yet her presence is missed.
Christmas times brings new thoughts of her and the vacant place seems larger.
She leaves nine children, H. P. McGregor, Mrs. R. L. Vance, Mrs. G. L. McCormick, T. D. McGregor, J. H. McGregor, Mrs. J. Chronister, Mrs. R. Smith, of Glen Allen, Mrs. Joe Harold, of Gunnison, CO, Mrs. E. D. Waters, of Oregon.
Two children preceded her in death, Arthur McGregor, of Glen Allen and Mrs. B.F. Headrick of Taskee.
She leaves 43 grandchildren and 73 great grandchildren.
The last few years of her life was spent among her children.
She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R.L. Vanve where she had been afflicted for six weeks.
The funeral was conducted by Rev. James Trentham.
Her remains were placed to rest in McGee Chapel Cemetery.
