- David C. Smith was born in Harrison Co, KY, August 28, 1857 and died on Feb.
26, 1929 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ed M. Caldwell, of Lutesville,
after a long illness. On April 21, 1881, he was married to Rachel Livengood of
Atwood, IL, to which this union seven children were born. He is survived by his
wife and six children; Mrs. P. F. Howard and Ben H. Smith of Campbell, MO;
Elmer A Smith, Charles E. Smith, and Chester C. Smith, all of Flint, MI, and Mrs.
Ed M. Caldwell of Lutesville, at whose home he endured a long illness and
passed away.
Funeral services were conducted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. P. F. Howard of
Campbell, MO, by Rev. Pryor, pastor of the Christian Church, of which
denomination deceased has been connected with a number of years. Interment was in
Woodlawn Cemetery, Campbell, MO.
