    Comments:
I am descended from Hiram Lee and Elizabeth Cheek who married in Cape Gir. Co. in 1826. I have tried to determine Elizabeth's parentage for over 20 years. I believe it is Randolph Cheek of Bollinger County but have never found proof (there is so much misinformation about this line on the internet) A newspaper article in Bollinger Co. in 1873 says he and his wife were the parents of ll children, all living. I am trying to piece this family together and have information on many of the children. I welcome any information and am very happy to share what I have put together and is proven.

    Surnames:(in capital letters only) BLACKSTEN
    Comments:
I am looking for my grandfathers family. His name was David Calvin Blacksten and his father, John Blacksten, was born in Missouri, but I don't know where. He is listed in the 1880 census in Ohio as being born in MIssouri 1848. He was married to Mary A. Ross and it gives her birthplace as Ohio, but again I haven't seen proof of that. I have been unable to find him in any earlier census, so he must have moved to Ohio in between 1870 and 1880. I would appreciate any help given. THanks so much.
