Seeking info on family of Elmina Smith (b. February 18, 1832 in Bollinger County, MO) and George Huckison (Hutchison/Hutchisson) who were married on October 28, 1847 in Cape Girardeau, MO. 1850 Census shows Cape Girardeau family: George W. Hutchison, wife Elmina, daughter Mewlissa E. and a Julia Ann Hutchison (believed to be George's mother). This family settled in Arkansas in 1860, lived and died there.
My family believes Elmina to be of some American Indian descent. 1880 Census record reveals Elmina's parents were born in North Carolina. She and George had 9 children: Melissa, Charles, Margaret, Nancy, Andrew, John J., Mary, George W. and Robert Lee. Thanks!

I'm trying to find out where Castor, MO is. The 1880 census lists Mary McIntosh (widow) living with her children during the 1880 census taken at Castor, Stoddard Cty, MO. Roots web does not list a Castor, Stoddard. They list one in Bollinger Cty and a Castor Station in Madison county. Is there a Castor in Bollinger county? In Stoddard Cty? or is this a mistake on the part of the census takers (transcribers? Any help would be appreciated.

I am in search of any information on a Preston Scott b. abt 1825/1830 Kentucky who married a Margaret McKinney b. ? in Ill. in 1851. I have found him in the 1870 and 1880 census for Bollinger County, Liberty, Township. Sometime between 1870 and 1880 Margaret McKinney died and he married a Sarah?. His children were Thomas, William, Sarah, Samuel, Andrew, John Henry Scott, my grandfather, b Feb. 19 1862, George, and Mary. I also found Thomas Scott on the 1880 census and he was Married to Missouri? she was 17 yrs old.
My grandfather married Nancy Ellen Thacker on Sept. 20, 1891 at Marble Hill. The odd thing about the 1870 and 1880 cencus is that it shows my great grandfather as being 40 in 1870 and then it shows him to be 55 in the 1880 census. If anyone could give me any more information I would appriciate it.
