    Louis STEIN, 75 years old, formerly a flour miller in Cape Girardeau, died at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah, Thursday, according to word to Mrs. Albert KEMPE, 207 South Louisiana avenue, a niece.

    Funeral services were conducted Sunday at Salt Lake City and burial was there.

    The family moved from Cape Girardeau to California about 28 years ago, and the last 12 years had resided in Utah.

    Mr. STEIN was co-proprietor of the old Stein-Lance Milling Co., here, the plant being on Broadway where the present Bartels store is located. The building was taken down several years ago to make room for the present brick structure.

    Relatives in Cape
    The family belonged to the Presbyterian Church here, and Mr. and Mrs. STEIN moved their membership to a church at Salt Lake City several years ago.

    Surviving are his widow, formerly Miss Maggie BARRETT of Jackson; three children, Harvey STEIN and Margaret, who is now married, both residing in Berkeley, Cal., and Carroll STEIN of New York City; a brother, Fred STEIN, of Cape Girardeau and several grandchildren and other relatives.

Comments: His niece, Mrs. Albert KEMPE, was Alma W. STEIN. Louis’s other siblings, not mentioned in the obituary, who predeceased him were: Gustav H. STEIN; Christian F. STEIN; William STEIN; and Anna Caroline Alvina STEIN, wife of George F. SIEMERS.
