QRYTEXT: James CRAIG (b. N.C. c1787) may have moved late in life to Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born in North Carolina, possibly Mecklenburg County, moved to Smith County, Tennessee with his parents and siblings in about 1804. He was listed in the census there as late as 1850. A 1903 letter from a nephew states that he moved to Southern Illinois, and later to Cape Girardeau, Missouri. This would have been in the 1850s or later. His wife was named Susan, and he had children named Mary LITCHFORD, Hiram Moses Craig, Rachel MOFIELD, Nancy CONNOR, Martha Craig, William Craig, and perhaps others. Any information that is known about James CRAIG or his descendants would be greatly appreciated.

She had 3 children, Margaret, Michael and we belive Belemus. Margaret is next found going to school in Kaskaskia, she married a Gray and died in IA. The two boys have yet to be found as children.
