Name: Diane <dlang56@aol.com>
Date: 2007-05-13
SURNAMES: HUGGINS
Comments:
Hello all! Looking for anyone who might have known or heard of the following family in Campbell, Missouri:

Robert Edward Lee Huggins, born 1876 in either TN or KY

Wedded in 1895, Campbell, MO TO:

Willie Mae Milner, born 1881 or '83 in KY

Their children born in Campbell as follows:

Eva I., 1897
Thelma 1901
Marie 1903
Edith 1904
Zenda (Sue)1907
Rosa 1914
Robert 1919

The children were schooled in Campbell and Robert E.L.
worked in the lumber business in some capacity or other.
In the late 1920's the entire family was moved to St. Louis
where Robert E. L. continued to work in lumber.

Willie Mae's mother was one Emma Underwood and lived
next door to the Huggins family for a few years.

I have just discovered Willie Mae and Robert E. Lee Huggins were my great-grandparents (long story) and am
anxious to find out what life was like in Campbell during
the first quarter of the 20th century.

What were the names of the school/s in those days, what
did the kids do for fun, was the community close-knit?
I would love to hear anyone's stories they have heard
of those years.

Thanks again,
Diane L.
St. Louis, Missouri
