| SURNAMES: | COPELAND, CRIDER, BUNTING |
| Comments: | I am looking for information about my great-grandfather, Thomas F. Copeland, his father George T. Copeland, a confederate soldier in the 11th MO Infantry & his wife Sarah (UNKNOWN) Copeland. According to census records, Thomas was first married to Clara Bunting, and they had a child together, Ima Copeland. However, by 1910, Clara had disappeared from the census, Ima was living with her grandparents, the Buntings, and Thomas was about to be married to Myrtle Crider, whose family lived next door to, or near, the Buntings. Census records indicate that George T. Copeland was born in Illinois, his father was born in Indiana, and his mother was born in France. I don't know much more about them, and I am really curious to know what happened to Thomas's first wife, Clara Bunting, and their daughter, Ima Copeland. Any info or leads would be helpful. |

| SURNAMES: | ALDRIDGE/AULDRIDGE |
| Comments: | I am researching the family of ROBERT N. ALDRIDGE/AULDRIDGE. Robert was born about 1840 in Missouri or Illinois. Robert is found on the following Dunklin County census records: 1870 in Four Mile Township; 1880 in Union Township; 1900 in Holcolmb Island Township. His wife was Cordelia (her maiden name may have been Smith). His mother-in-law Sarah Smith was living in his household in 1870 and 1880. Robert's daughter Sarah Elizabeth married John Wesley Standley in Dunklin County on 07 Mar 1883. Sarah Elizabeth died between 1897-1900. I have been told she is buried near Hornersville in an unmarked grave. I do not know the name of Robert's parents and so far I have have been unsucessful in finding Robert on either 1850 or 1860 census. I found a John A. Aldridge living next to Robert in 1880. John Aldridge gave his father's place of birth as "England" and Robert gave his father's place of birth as "Missouri." John was born about 1836 and Robert about 1840. The relationship between John and Robert is unknown. I found marriage records for several of John's children. I would like to hear from anyone with information about this family. I will share what I have. Thanks! |
