I'm seeking information about my grandmother, Emma Minerva Horton, born 1888 in Hornersville. She married William Hardy Oates around 1905. There were lots of Horners in Hornersville, but I can't find her family. She may have had a sister, Minnie, who married Dolph(?) Oates & then Frank Hanners. I have been told that Minnie's parents were Hurdy Horner and Mollie Thompson. I can't find anything about them either. Does anyone have information?
William Oates' father was Richard Oates, born in KY, but came to Dunklin Co a widower. Anyone know about him?
