| Comments: | I am searching for any descendants of my grandfather John A. WALLACE and his second wife, Linnie EDNESTER. John WALLACE was b, 1865, Wayne Co. IL and came to Dunklin Co. MO around 1890 and was working for the railroad in 1900. John WALLACES'S first wife was Rebecca L. Mann and ended in divorce around 1891. This first marrage produced one son , my father , Andrew Jackson WALLACE, b. Oct. 1891 in Clarkton. In 1900, John WALLACE and his 2nd wife Linnie Ednester was living in Holcomb Island Township. John's brother, Sterling Wallace was living with them. There were two known children born to the second marriage. Flora Wallace, b. abt 1898 and Fletcher Wallace b. about 1903. Can find no eary info on Thomas. NAncy died in her late teens or early 20's after her second child. |

He was a Baptist preacher and may have signed church records in Senath, Dunklin county. One of his sons James Waters married Miss Maud Baker 2July1901 both of Senath, Dunklin County. Another son George Washington Waters also may have lived in Senath, three of George's children were born in Senath, Della Lee Waters, Ruth Waters and George W Waters. There is also a F M Waters from Dunklin Co listed on the pension application for John Newton Waters. |
