This must have been in the late 1940's. I remember we got new brand uniforms when I was in the 7th or 8th grade. The band director told us to wear white pants/skirts/or dresses under the cape. I bought a white dress especially for the parade. HOWEVER, it was white with a wild print all over.
My poor Mother almost passed out
