Legislator in the Virginia Assembly
- The picture of my presentation to Frank DuVal Hargrove, who was the first member of our family awarded a Life Membership, was taken in 2003 at his home in Virginia.
He is a Delegate in the Virginia Assembly and made the National news in January when he had a "disagreement" in the Assembly when some legislators wanted to "Apologize" for slavery. Frank finally agreed to go along with a bill expressing "regret" for slavery.
His home, Coolwater, adjoins property owned by Patrick Henry and the actual chair/desk which Frank occupies in the Assembly is the one occupied by Patrick Henry.
