- (Iron County) Henry B WEIDNER born c1838 in PA, married Maragret ????? born c1842 in TN. The 1880 census shows this family in Wise County Texas. With two children being born in Iron County MO. The issues are Mary J WEIDNER born c1869 and William H WEIDNER born c1871in MO.

- PERKINS, John Thomas, b. 4 May 1867, Ironton, Iron, Mo. His mother was MESSER, Martha J., b. 10 Nov 1849, TN. We do not know the fathers given name only that he was born in TN. When John Thomas was about 3 1870 his father packed up his frying pan and rifle and walked off into the woods never to be seen again. Do not know that they were living in Iron Co. at the time.

Alfred M. BYRD and Andrew WALLACE /WALLIS are listed as being in the same company of MO State Militia from Iron Co. MO for 1865-1866 - are they nephew and uncle, respectively?? I am primarily researching my great grandparents, Christian John AMELUNG & Johanna BODENSTEIN who immigrated to Jackson, MO in Cape Girardeau County, married in 1854 in St. Francois County and resided in Pilot Knob until their deaths in 1903 & 1918. Their children married into the other lines listed above and many of their descendants still live in Iron county today. - Looking for a family that was in this county as far as I can tell around 1850 or 60. In an obit of my g grandfather it was stated that as a small boy he moved with his family to the Iron Mountains. His name was Isaac N. RENYOLDS. Can't find them there or in the census. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Where is Iron Mts. ect..... Thanks!
