Jean Bouchard dit LaVallee

Jean Bouchard dit LaVallee
  • Jean Bouchard dit LaVallee born 1764 in Quebec to Joseph Bouchard dit LaVallee and Josephte Labonte'. Jean married Jeanne Chauvin in St. Louis, Mo. 1792. He was a French Commandant under Spanish Rule at the time of the Louisianna Purchase. He raised the American flag at New Madrid at the turn over. He and Jeanne still have descendents living in New Madrid and St Louis. Jean also had a daughter named Tiny LaVallee by a slave named Betzy. Tiny was baptised in the Immaculate Conception Church in New Madrid about 1802. Tiny had two sons, I am still trying to find Tiny's descendsents
