Jim Flowers of Caruthersville Mo was charged in US District Court Monday with selling liquor without a license. He is 26 years old, tall and awkward. He "reckoned" he was guilty.

Died on Monday Nov 29th Monroe, son of Mr. And Mrs James Broughton, aged 6 years. The remains were interred in the family graveyard Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock.

Mr. David Haas and Miss Cynthia Waters were married on Monday Nov 29th at 1:30 pm at the residence of Mr. And Mrs. R. J. Waters. The bride is the second daughter of Mr. And Mrs. R. J. Waters and the groom is one of Malden’s most prominent young business men. ...

Sam Phillips bought the Freeman LeSieur place, where A. H. Wintz is living at present. (Pt. Pleasant News

On Friday morning, Mr. And Mrs. Wm. Mitchell living just north of town, awoke and found their infant daughter dead beside them. Cause of death unknown. Remains were buried Saturday (Caruthersville democrat)
