Died on the 14th inst. Son of Mr. And Mrs. John Braswell, also a child of Mr. and Mrs. John Hannon.

Married in this city in the office of Joel Cook, J. P. Winfrey Bond and Mary E. Woody. Of Big Prairie.

Miss Laura Mathews and brother Roy of St. Louis are visiting their sister, Mrs. Irvin Peck.

Miss Ellis, from Commerce, who has been visiting her sister here, Mrs. Steve Chamberlain, left on steamer Bluff City yesterday for her home. Henry Butler, colored, died last Thursday. For the past 17 years he has been a faithful employ at the T. I. Fontaines’ mill and was a good old darkey.

Mrs. Dr O’Bannon and daughter Maud returned Saturday from a visit to the lakes of NY. They came home by way of Niagara falls. Dr. O’Bannon met them at Cairo.

Jerry Logan, killed at a Negro dance out at Henry Gattis’ house near LaForge last Saturday
