Mrs. Jesse Leacy, the child bride mentioned in this paper last week, started to the public school this week, entering the primary department. Born to Mr. And Mrs. W. T. Paxton, at Buena Vista, VA, Sept 18th a daughter.

Luther Simpson, age 12, living with his uncle, James McGraw on Phillips Raidt’s farm, died last Monday.

Miss Carrie LaValle will leave next Monday for Minnesota where she will visit her aunt, Mrs. Lila Brown.

Last Saturday Judge H. C. Riley received news of the death of Mr. Campden Riley at Owensboro, KY,. The deceased was a brother of the late Amos Riley of this county and had reached the ripe old age of 82 years. He was a member of a family noted for longevity.

Mrs. Joseph Hunter accompanied her daughter Mrs. T. B. Allen to her home at St. Joseph last Saturday.

Enoch Eby and Miss Ada Trowbridge were married Sunday last Sept 19th by Judge W. L. Stacy at his residence in this city.
