Mrs. Alice Wharff was killed by the cars Tuesday of last week at Malden.

Died at the home of her son, in New Madrid on Oct 2d, Mrs. Martha Pierce, at an advanced age. She has been a resident of this county for over 50 years. Deceased was a sister of M. J. Tickell of Morehouse. Her son, Geines Pierce, the only living child she had was in Hot Springs when her death occurred. She was a member of the Methodist church and a well liked Christian lady and leaves a host of friends.
