William M. Bennett, aged 53 years, was found dead in his bed sunday morning at his residence two miles southeast of Jackson. His father was once sheriff of this county. The deceased was a son-in-law of Elisha Sheppard, who was a soldier in the war of 1812, Mr. Shepards widow is the oldest pensioner in Cape Girardeau county (Southeast Gazette.)

Mrs. Henry Jaspar received a telegram Tues. from Mrs Mollie Long, nee

Klein, nee Stallcup, announcing the death of Mrs. Lon’s son Louis Klein at Berney , MO., The deceased was a half brother of Amos R. Phillips of this city and was 26 years and 6 months old and unmarried. He was in the general merchandise business. The remains were brought to Sikeston Tuesday and interred in the cemetery. AR Philllips attended the funeral. Married at the residence of the bride’s cousin, Flan Girvin on Ruddle’s Point at 4 o’clock pm Wed. Mar 16, Mr. Henderson Wiley to Mrs. Martha Krebs. ... Mr. Wiley is a very prominent farmer of Ruddle’s point the bride is a sister of Mrs. C. T. Jarvis.

The body of the lat O. E. Walker ..will be buried by undertaker Richards tomorrow morning at the Denhart graveyard.
