Mrs. Maggie Dorris, wife of John L. Dorris of Gayoso, died in St. ouis Tues of last week. She was in St. Louis for medical treatment. The remains were brought to Gayoso for internment

Miss Mary LeSieur has returned from a pleasant visit to relatives in Pocahontas. She was accompanied home by her sister-in-law Mrs. Adolph LeSieur, who will spend some time with relatives.

Mrs. Ida Huffman wife of John Huffman and daughter of the late Wm. B. Phillips died at her residence on Caney Island Saturday morning and was buried at the Mound cemetery on Sunday. She leaves two small children. The wife and baby of Frank Eastwood of this city were drowned in the flood disaster at Shawneetown last week. Mrs. Eastwood was the daughter of Thomas Patterson of the Sherill settlement. They were on a visit to the Calicuts, friends of the family at Shawneetown, the whole family of whom were drowned except a young Boy.

Fred Hardin, formerly of Dunklin Co. with a young German, Henry Praker, was drowned in Long Lake, between Blythesville and Bartfield, AR, a few days ago. They were cutting a tree that fell across their boat, burying them in water 10 feed deep. Mr. Fred Hardin was a brother of Mrs. J. M. Spradling of this place
