Drowned at Gayoso
Will Cantwell, a young man living out back in the country, from that place , attempted to cross the water during the high winds on last Wednesday and his boat becoming swamped he was drowned, only a short distance from the gate in the Morris farm, a half mile west of Gayoso...

The report came here Monday of a young man in the employ of Wils Turnbow of Black Island by the name of Outen was drowned.

Married Sunday evening at 6:30, at the bride’s residence, in that city, Rev. James Ulery officiating, Lon Secoy and Miss Myrtle Hale. Thos. Secoy acted as groomsman and Miss Lonnie Bruce as bridesmaid

Died at the home of his parents four miles north of New Madrid, n Tuesday, age 26,at 10:30 pm. James Hart, son of Mr and Mrs Jno. E. Hart , aged about 21 years. He had been sick with typhoid fever about two months and was convalescing when he became worse about a week ago. The family have indeed been unfortunate, four of them being victims of typhoid fever during the past few months, all however, recovered except young James . The funeral occurred today at 3 pm and the remains were placed in the family burying ground near the residence.
