Frank Sweard, well known in New Madrid as an old hunter and fisherman, died in the hospital at Natchez, June 13th aged 58 years and four months. E and his son Thomas were camped on the river at Natchez, having gone down there last December. Tom returned her last Tuesday. Mrs. Seward is living out at Little River with her son in law, Jules Singery. About two weeks ago Will Seward, another son of Frank Seward, died at Kennett Mo.

Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm Mr. Louis H. Scott and Miss Linda Boyce, accompanied by Mr. And Mrs. Water Boyce were married at the hoe of Judge Howard. Miss Boyce is the only daughter of Mrs. Mary and the late John Boyce. Mr. Scott is the accommodating clerk of the government fleet and has been here for several months. They will see their friends a th the home of Mrs. {E Waters for the present.

Miss Dora Schweick, who has been visiting Mrs. A. O. Cook, left for Malden, where she will visit her sister, Mrs. Libermuth.
