The supreme court on Tuesday affirmed the case against T. P. Waldridge, convicted of killing Fatty Legon at Malden, and he will have to serve a term of 10 years in the penitentiary. It is said that the appeal in the case was never properly perfected by defendants attorneys in fact they did not get the transcript of the evidence and bill of exceptions there until it was too late, though Waldridge claims to have paid the necessary fees. The case might have been affirmed anyway, but some good lawyers say that it would have probably been reversed. Waldridge is said to be in Arkansas.
