Bud Killion of Lake Co, TN has rented the Carter farm and is farming on a large scale (Ruddles Point items)

Miss Susie E. Lewis, the beautiful and accomplished daughter of Mr. And Mrs. E. L. Lieis, who has been visiting relatives in Missouri, returned to her home at Tiptonville on steamer Ford Herold (Ruddles Point items)

Jerry D. Oates, aged about 50 years, living north of Portageville died Monday night Apr 9 th . He leaves a family

Mrs. Emma LeSieur, aged 68 years, relict of Freeman LeSieur, died in this city last Saturday at the residence of her son John LESIEUR after a lingering illness. Services were held at the Catholic Church Sunday and the remains were taken in the hearse of Richards Brothers to the Till burying ground, three miles west of Pt. Pleasant and interred. The deceased leaves three children, Mrs. Jesse DeLisle, Mrs. James DeLisle and John LeSieur The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved ones.

The sad news reached us yesterday of the death of the young wife of Judge L.. F. LaFont which occurred Tuesday night at their residence at Conran. She had only been a bride for nearly a month, and her death is a sad blow to her husband. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to him.

Born to the wife of T. B. Crow, near LaForge, Tuesday Apr 10th a son

The wife of Mitchell Bran the post master at Portageville, died Tues night aged about 30 years.

Leo Slater, a brakeman on the railroad near Kennett was caught in attempting to jump from aa wrecked train last Friday and lost a leg and an arm. He died next day. Slater once lived around here.

Theo Muller, cashier of the Bank of Campbell and Miss Rhoda Bray were married at Campbell Sunday Apr 1 st. Mr. Mueller was here a short time about three years ago, previous to the opening of the bank at Campbell, learning the banking system used by the New Madrid Banking Company.

John Ling, aged 19 years, living north of Portageville, died Saturday Apr 7th.

Albert LaFont, son of the late Leroy LaFont, died at his house near Pt. Pleasant, Apr. 7th.

Mrs Adams, mother of Asa Adams, an old and respected lady of LeSieur Twp died last week.

W. W. Robbing aged about 56 years died at his home five miles north of Portageville at 1 oclock am Fri. apr. 6. He was a member of the Pt . Pleasant Masonic Lodge and was buried under the auspices of that order at New Hope cemetery on Saturday. He leaves a wife and four children.
