J. W. Short left Tuesday to visit his son W.. B. Short at Paducah Ky.

At the Catholic Church in this city last Sunday, Father Furlong announced the marriage of Miss Agnes Digges and Shap Hunter, Jr. This is a rule strictly adhered to where both contracting parties are communicants of the church. The marriage will be announced publicly again before the ceremony is performed.

At Malden, May 6 Ernest A. Baldwin of Kennett and Miss Carra Mayes, daughter of Dr. F. A. Mayes were married. On may 9 at the same place W. S/ C. Walker, an attorney of Kennett and Miss Belle McCarrol of Malden were married.
