SEPT. 27, 1892-MAR 16, 1967 Alfred O. Anderson, a retired conductor for the Frisco Railroad Co., died at 1:30 a.m. at a Cape Girardeau hospital where he had been a patient since Feb. 28. Mr. Anderson who lived in Chaffee, MO was 74 years old. He was born Sept. 27, 1892, at Noble, AR, the son of Enoch and Nellie Hall Anderson. On May 28, 1911, he married Miss Mary Ann Miller of Wardell, MO. They moved to Chaffee in 1927. He started his career with the railroad as a brakeman in 1927 and was promoted to conductor in 1942. He retired in 1957. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen and of the Assembly of God Church in Chaffee. He held the office of church secretary-treasurer for more than 15 years. Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Maybelle Lane of Chaffee and Mrs. Claudia Lynch of Cape Girardeau; a son, Carrel A. Anderson of El Paso, TX; a sister, Mrs. Flossie Miller of Wardell, MO; two half-sisters and seven grandchildren. One, Donald Rex Williams, whom he and his wife had reared. Five great grandchildren also survive. Services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Assembly of God Church by the pastor, Rev. William H. Marshall.
