 Mar. 31, 1922-May 26, 2001 Standard-Democrat, Sikeston, MO May 30, 2001 Leland, MS---Raymond Clark, 79, formerly of Portageville, MO, died May 26, 2001 at the Methodist Rehab Center in Jackson of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born March 31, 1922, in Wardell, MO, the son of the late C.C. and Bertie Clark, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired farmer and was affiliated with the Baptist church. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Linda Clark of Leland; one daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Steve Brown of Gainsville, GA; two sisters, Gladys Young of Springfield, IL and Vera Thatcher of Metamora, IL; two brothers, C.N. Clark of Portageville and Herman Clark of Sikeston, MO; and four grandchildren and one great-grandson. One son, Barry Clark, preceded him in death. Services were conducted Monday at the Boone Funeral Home in Leland. Burial followed in Leland, MS.
