Oct. 26, 1933-Feb. 17, 2000 Funeral services for Shirley Nelson Lack, 66, of Gans, OK, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial will be in Gans Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mr. Lack was born Oct. 26, 1933, in Wardell, MO, to Fred Mancle Lack and Nancy Ethel Bracy Lack. He died Thursday, Feb 17, 2000, in Fort Smith, AR. A 1956 graduate of Gans High School, Mr. Lack was a member of the National Maritime Union, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War where he served aboard the USS Barton DD-722. He was employed by Valley Lines as a deck hand for 30 years on the Ohio, Mississippi, and Illinois Rivers. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his mother, Nancy Ethel Lack of Gans; two brothers, Coy Ellis Lack of Roland and William Olen Lack of Coffeyville, KS; two sisters, June Tinney and Lynn Gee, both of Gans; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be John Riva, Mancle Calloway, Louis Calloway, Randal Gee, Kendal Gee, Bobby Calloway and Larry Calloway.
