Jan. 22, 1889-Jul. 23,1968 John F. Miller, 79, was born January 22, 1889, in Wardell and died Tuesday, July 23, 1968, at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital. He had lived nearly all of his life in the Wardell area. He was the son of John Moses and Martha “Mittie” Mathis Miller. On July 26, 1910, at Clarendon, AR, he was married to Miss Flossie Anderson, who survives. He also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Herman (Gladys) George and Mrs. Cloyd (Nettie) Handleyof Caruthersville; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Anderson of Chaffee, MO, and Mrs. Vada Owens of East Prairie, MO; two grandsons and two great grandsons. Services were held Thursday afternoon at the Church of the Nazarene in Wardell with the Rev. Rudolph Hickerson officiating. Burial was in Pemiscot Memorial Gardens with Jimmy Osburn Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
