    JOHN FORREST MILLER
    JAN. 29, 1929-SEPT 13, 1989

    John Forrest Miller, 60, Wathena, KS, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 1989, at a military hospital in Leavenworth, KS.

    Born in Wardell, MO, Jan 29, 1929, to the late Lonnie and Hester Miller. He moved to Wathena in 1970.

    He married Kathryn Baxter in Clay County, AR, April 29, 1950.

    Mr. Miller was a 26-year Air Force veteran, retiring with the rank of master sergeant. He was stationed at the Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska, and later worked at Rosecrans Air Field for the Missouri Air National Guard.

    Mr. Miller was of the Baptist faith.

    Surviving are his wife, Kathryn, of the home; two sons, John of San Antonio, TX, and Gene Paul “Sam” of the home; two daughters, Janis Deeken of Wathena, KS, and Jacqueline Reno of Parkville, MO; a brother, L.J. Miller of Farmington, MO; two sisters, Nellie Wilson of Sikeston, MO, and Linda Stills of Melbourne, AR; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

    Services at 11 a.m. today, Heaton-Bowman-Smith and Sidenfaden Chapel. Military graveside services at Mount Auburn Cemetery held by the Missouri National Guard.

    Burial Mount Auburn Cemetery in St. Joseph, MO.
