June 19, 1914-March 25, 2004 Sikeston Standard Democrat March 27, 2004 Portageville—Wreatha Lee Ramsey, 89, died March 25, 2004, at the Portageville Nursing Center. Born June 19, 1914, in Union City, TN, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Center and Hattie Mae Wilson Center. On Jan. 15, 1946, in Malden, MO, she married Jasper “Jap” Ramsey, who survives of the home. Other survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Connie Ramsey of Portageville; Dale and Lettie DeMay of Fenton, MO and Eldon and Peggy DeMay of Albuquerque, NM; one daughter-in-law, Marjorie Ramsey of Portageville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby DeMay in 1975 and Danny Ramsey; four sisters, Fourtha Wilburn, Emma Stevens, Dee Center and Arby Center. Services are scheduled for 3 p.m. today at the Word of Victory Church with the Rev. Marjorie Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
