May 24, 1934-Dec. 20. 1997 Doris Ellowise Tanner, 63, of Pocahontas, AR, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 1997, at her home. She was born in Wardell, MO, May 24, 1934, the daughter of Ida Ann Buck Miller of Gideon and the late Hildred H. Miller. She was a cosmetologist. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Joe Tanner, of the home; two daughters, Sherri Matheny of Ravenden, AR, and Jo Ann Christie of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; theree brothers, Lonnie Miller and James Miller, both of Wardell, MO, and Virgil Miller of Clarkton, MO; a sister, Debbie Wilkins of Gideon, MO. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning in the Pocahontas Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend James Coker officiating. Burial followed in Masonic Cemetery under direction of McNabb Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Stacy and Matt Brown, Tara Anderson, Tracy Coker, Whitnee Hogan, Brent Hager, Jim Harris, Derk Manning, Katrina and Kyle Snow, Autumn Stout, Amanda Elliott and Matt Ungerank.
