Standard Democrat, Sikeston, MO April 14, 1982 July 5, 1920-April 13, 1982 Jewel M. Wilson 61, died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. Born July 5, 1920, in Wardell, MO to the late John Benjamin and Etta Elliott Wilson, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sikeston and a retired farmer. On January 2, 1942, he married Ada Watkins who survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Johnny M. Wilson of Sikeston and Dennis Wilson of Key West, FL; one daughter, Lorna V. Wilson of Checotah, OK; three brothers, Junior Gene Wilson of Wardell, MO, A.J. Wilson of Greenwood, MS, and R.V. Wilson of Bowling Green, FL; two sisters, Bernice Smith of Wardell and Edith Ballentine of Steele, MO; and three grandchildren. Friends may call today at Crews-Welch Funeral Home in Sikeston. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church. The Reverend Glen Bohannon will officiate and Charles Hunt of Clarksville, TN will assist. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
