Lint Dale
- Lint Dale: was a trading-point at the mouth of Old Pemiscot Bayou,
and was founded in 1873 by Turner Chambelin and George I. Coleman.
It contained a large store and a warehouse, and was the shipping-point
for the southern part of both Pemiscot and Dunklin Counties.
Three-fourths of a mile below Lint Dale, on the river, was a warehouse known as
Midway being exactly half the distance between Cairo, Ill., and Memphis, Tenn.
At this point large quantities of cord-wood were annually supplied to steamboats.
