Pascola
- Pascola: is situated on the Frisco R. R., between Kennett and Hayti.
It began to be a town on the building of the railroad from Kennett to
Caruthersville in 1894 but previous to that time there had been settlers living
in the immediate vicinity of the town since 1879.
The earliest of these were Tim Ingram and Mrs. Sarah Brown.
The town was incorporated in 1899, the first mayor being A. Russell.
The merchants in the early periods were John Savails and Edward Harrison.
There were, 1912, three general stores and one stove factory.
(Hist. of Southeast Mo., 1912, Douglas, Vol. 1, p. 381.)
Pascola is located at Sec. 23, 24, 13 & 14, Twp. 20 N, R 10 E, in the northwest
corner of the county, at the junction of Highways HH & 153.
