Solitude
- Solitude: I have found it on 3 MO maps (circa 1870's-1890's), it was listed as a Post Office on the 1860 Pemiscot Census and I did find it had a PO from 1855-1864.
But I've not found any other info, not even an exact location but I think it was probably located either in or near the present day Wolf Bayou Conservation area. Probate records from my GR GR grandfather's also mention him receiving goods from a boat that stopped in Solitute so I know it was on the river. The USGS lists it as an "unknown" location.
Does anyone have information on the former town of Solitude
Thanks for ANY info.
