I am looking for information about my ggrandfather, Friedrich Schilling. He was born in Prussia on March 11, 1828 and came to America, arriving in New Orleons from Bremen aboard the Bremerhaven on October 27, 1852. He married a widow, Theresia Petzold (nee Schuessler) on
May 16, 1858 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, Missouri. They had six children, many decendents who still live in Perry County. Friedrich died November 20, 1873 and is burried in Trinity churchyard in Altenberg, Missouri.
I would like to know where in Prussia did he come from and if he has any surviving family in Germany.
