- Vanduser is a village in Scott County, in the Sikeston metro area.
The community is in the Central Standard time zone.
The latitude of Vanduser is 36.990N. The longitude is -89.685W.
- NOTE:My name at the time I lived in Vanduser was Mary Yandell. We lived on Joyce St. (the street leading to the first cotton
gin that was on the left when you came into town from Hwy 61).
Vanduser was a wonderful little town to grow up in. I can remember when there were several stores, a bank, cafe &
a theater. We lived across the street from the City Hall where I remember people lining up for free food during the
depression times. How times change. The corner where the bank was later became Bates grocery.
I'm waiting for other resident's memories.
P.S. My dad was E.L. Yandell, my mother Virginia and my brother was known as Jr., my sister is Pat.

- NOTE:I graduated from Scott Co. Central High School in 1963. I attended Vanduser Grade School and graduated from 8th grade in the two story school building which used to sit on the south end of town. I worked at Black's Grocery store when I was 14 years old. My class had their 42nd high school reunion in Vanduser in April of 2005 and many of our 44 graduating class were there. Great to see this web site being built.
I now live in Las Vegas, NV. I will be 60 years old January 3, 2006. Barely a baby boomer! I worked at Benton, Mo at the Court house during my senior year in high school and the summer after that. My Mom still lives there (35 years) just outside Morley Mo at the corner of Hwy 61 and Hwy 91. She is 78 years and lived in Vanduser before moving to Morley, MO.
