Born: 1930 Died: 1973 Donald Lavern Anders - 1930 - 1973 He was born April 29, 1930 at Sikeston. On July 3, 1950 he married Miss Rose Mae Shoemaker of Perkins. Since their marriage, they resided in St. Louis where he was employed as a machine operator at Carter Carburetor Company for 9 years. Survivors include his wife; sons, Donald Ray, Gregg and Scott Anders; daughter Yulinda Anders all of the home; his stepfather and mother Mr. & Mrs. Jack Harris of Kansas City, Missouri. Donald will also be missed by a host of other friends and relatives. NOTE:The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
