Lee Anthony - 1907 - 1973 He was born April 19, 1907, near London, Arkansas. On November 17, 1932, he was married to the former Miss Ethyl Russell of Hagerville, Arkansas. Mr. Anthony had farmed in the Oran area for the past 22 years until his retirement in March because of ill health. He was a member of the Morley Masonic Lodge #184. Survivors include his wife, a daughter Miss Nona Faye Anthony of Los Angeles, CA; 5 brothers Ben and Cline both of Chaffee, Lon of East Prairie, Burl of Oran and Carl of Madera, CA; 1 sister Mrs. Lelah Wood, Santa Cruz, CA, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
