Note from Contributor: Frank Bailey was the twin brother of my great grandfather, Ben Bailey.
Frank Bailey - 1867 - 1950
A native of Freeburg, Illinois, Mr. Bailey moved to East Prairie in 1914. He was born April 28, 1867 and was a retired farmer.
Survivors are five daughters Mrs. George Golightly, Mrs. Lindsay Wilson and Mrs. Albert Davis of East Prairie, Mrs. Louis Robinson of St. Louis and Mrs. Theodore Frazier of Lusk Chapel; two sons Roy Bailey of St. Louis and Walter Bailey of New Madrid; a brother Ben Bailey of Cairo, Illinois; 20 grandchildren and 7 great greandchildren.
Services were held at the Church of God with Rev. J. C. Baker and Rev. Frank England officiating. Burial was at Dogwood Cemetery.
NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
