Bluet Emory Bain - 1879 - 1966 Mr. Bain was born in Illinois on October 20, 1879. He married Miss Sarah Leona Burlison of West End, Illinois on June 18, 1903. They moved to the Perkins community over 40 years ago where Mr. Bain worked as a blacksmith. He retired in 1960. Mrs. Bain has preceded him in death. Surviving are 1 daughter Mrs. Leon (Imogene) Stanley of Perkins, 4 sons Ameil Bain, Kankakee, Illinois, George Bain, Sedalia, Missouri, Moline Bain of Bell City, Mo., and Charles Bain of Perkins; 19 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
