CAPE GIRARDEAU - Bernice A. Burton, 57, died March 6, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Born Dec 1, 1934, at New Hamburg, daughter of the late Mike and Caroline Vogel Urhahn,

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.

She had been employed at St. Mary's Day Center and the Early Childhood Center in Cape Girardeau.

On July 24, 1954, at Oran, she married Gene Burton, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Gene A. Burton and Rick C. Burton of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Francis Urhahn and Charles Urhahn of Oran; one sister, Delores LeGrand of Florissant; and four grandchildren. One brother also preceded her in death.

Services were conducted at 10 a.m. today at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Ron Hoye officiating.

Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery with Ford and sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
