    William "Bill" Carson - 1887 - 1972
    William "Bill" Carson
    , 85, formerly of Sikeston, Mo, died in Mesa, Arizona.

    He was born Nov. 4, 1887.  While living in Sikeston, he managed the A. J. Matthews Farms, was an organizer and partner in the Carson and Righter Trucking Company, and also served many years on the Sikeston Police Force.

    After retiring, Carson moved to Globe, Arizona where he lived with his daughter Thelma Carson Hebner until they moved to Mesa, Arizona.

    In addition to his daughter, he is survived by one son, Cecil Carson of Mattoon, Illinois and four grandchildren.

    Services were held at Walker's Mortuary in Globe, Arizona and burial was in Memorial Cemetery.


NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
