Marcella C. Diebold
1913-1998
ORAN - Marcella C. Diebold, 84, died at 7:44 a.m. Jan 7,
1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 5, 1913,
near Oran, daughter of the late Emil and Bertha Metz Stubenrauch, she retired as
a machine operator from the International Hat Company at Oran, after 22 years of
service.
She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and St. Ann’s
Sodality.
On Dec. 29, 1932, she married Leon W. Diebold who survives of the
home. Other survivors include: one son, Jerome Diebold of Oran; two daughters,
Shirley Bennett of Lake Worth, Fla., and Ella Callow of Shelby, Miss.; one
brother, Herman Stubenrauch of Scott City; one sister, Stella Graviett of Oran;
and 21 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
One son, one brother and three sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran,
where parish prayers are scheduled for 7 p.m.
Funeral services will
be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church with the Rev.
Normand Varone officiating.
Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel
Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be; Ronnie Diebold, David Callow and
Shane Callow, Ladd Callow, Daryl Diebold and Keith Diebold.
