PORTAGEVILLE – Feb. 22, 1988 – Funeral services for Henry Bernard Eftink 94, of Portageville, who died Monday, were conducted today at the St. Eustachius Catholic Church. The Rev. Byron Edwards officiated.  Burial followed in Portageville Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Henry Brands, Andrew Eftink, Theodore Brands, Francis Hulshof, Robert Eftink and Bernard Recker.  Born Aug. 31, 1893, in Leopold to the late Henfrick Scharonberg and Bernard Eftink, he was a member of the St. Eustachius Catholic Church.    On Aug. 26, 1919 in Leopold, he married Dricka Benssink, who proceded him in death Oct 13, 1966. Also he was preceded in death by three sons, Jerome, Martin and Bernard Eftink; six brothers; one sister and one grandchild.  Survivors include: one son, Vincent "Peck" Eftink of Portageville; two daughters, Margaret Hulshof of Portageville and Mary Jo Farrar of Memphis, Tenn; one brother, Bernard Eftink of Oran; and 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
