Alma Ella (HOLMES) FULKS SERVICES
SUNDAY FOR MRS. A. E. FULKS WHO DIED YESTERDAY. (NOV. 9, 1939) Mrs. Alma Ella FULKS, 61, widow of the late John
FULKS, died at the Brandon Hospital at 8:30 o'clock last night following a
paralytic stroke. Mrs. FULKS was
admitted to the Brandon Hospital in a grave condition last Wednesday morning. She had been visiting relatives in Sikeston and was
stricken there and brought here in the Frank ambulance. Funeral services will be
conducted at the Frank Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Sunday with interrment following in
the Dexter Cemetery. The Rev. Gene
Sells will officiate at the services to be conducted under the direction of the
Frank undertaking company. Mrs. FULKS is survived by 3 sons, Tom FULKS of Poplar
Bluff, John FULKS, of Toledo, Ohio; and Lloyd WOLFE, of Detroit, Michigan; one
daughter, Mrs. John SMITH, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. J. L. Osborn of
Sikeston; 2 bros., M. A. HOLMES of Benton, Mo., and A. C. HOLMES of Dexter, Mo.,
and 2 step-sons, Fritz FULKS of Poplar Bluff and Luther FULKS of West Franklin,
Ill. Mrs. FULKS has resided here for the past 4 yrs. at
the home of Mrs. Z. K. WILLIAMS, 622 Poplar Street. Her husband, John FULKS,
died in 1917. Mrs. FULKS was born
in New Madrid, Mo. on June 20, 1878. NOTE: The obituary was contributed by Bob Wallace, June, 2000.
