    Dovie Ann George - 1884 - 1973
    Born March 4, 1884 at Idalia, Missouri, passed away October 8, 1973 in Chaffee General Hospital at the age of 89 years, 7 months, and 4 days.  She was the daughter of the late John & Trivena Tate Cagle.

    She was united in marriage in 1901 to Ed Rodgers, he preceded her in death in 1926.  To this union 3 children were born, all preceded her in death.

    She was later united in marriage June, 1932, to J. H. Everhart, he preceded her in death.

    She was also united in marriage in November, 1955 to Henry George, he preceded her in death December 1, 1972.

    She is survived by 1 grandson, Virgil Rodgers, Brinkley, Arkansas, and 1 great-grandson, Allen Lee Rodgers, of Brinkley, Arkansas and a host of other relatives and friends.

    She was a member of the Idalia General Baptist Church in Idalia, Missouri.


NOTE: The obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
