James Hamilton Grant -
1872-1958 He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Levi Grant. Mr. Grant was united in marriage March 8, 1906, Elizabeth Fisher, who survives, to this union four children were born, two preceded him in death, surviving are Mrs. Earl Murry, Oran, Missouri, and Mrs. Myrtle Bain, Bethaldo, Illinois. Mr. Grant also leaves to mourn his passing thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was a member of the Perkins Pentecostal Church. NOTE: The obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
