    Nannie Hager - 1886 - 1972
    Nannie Hager
    , 86, of Painton was killed Nov. 7, 1972, when she was struck by a car on Highway 91, 4 miles east of Bell City.

    She was born June 24, 1886 in Oran and married Charles H. Hager on July 10, 1903.  He preceded her in death August 29, 1953.

    Surviving are one son Charles H. Hager, Jr. of Cape Girardeau; two daughters Mrs. Fannie Lee Stone of Chaffee and Mrs. Oma Dell Estes of Houston, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. 

    Services were held at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home with the Rev. Delbert Bishop, pastor of New Harmony Baptist Church officiating.  Burial was in Friend Cemetery in Oran.


NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
